A man is accused of using a ghostly device to transport the body of a missing woman from a residential neighbourhood in Ottawa to a nearby hospital.

Police have not identified the victim, but the suspect is also accused of sending a ghost through a closed-circuit camera at a local hotel to a different location, then disappearing.RCMP Insp.

Jason DeGraffenreid said Wednesday a ghost sighting was discovered Wednesday near the Humber River Parkway at 8:45 p.m. that he said was related to a recent murder.

A video on social media shows a man in a dark blue car driving through the parking lot, and a ghost appears in the rearview mirror of the car.

The video shows the man driving through a residential area with a dead woman’s body in the car, DeGraffs said.

He said there was no sign of foul play and no witnesses.

The car was found about 10 minutes later, with a woman’s face and body still in the vehicle.

The suspect has been charged with murder.

The case remains under investigation.

DeGraff’s comments came in response to a report from CBC News that investigators had determined there was evidence of a ghost.

He said that’s something the investigation team is trying to piece together, and that the video has not been released to the public.
